  • ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS

Peppermint: when we drink alcohol, it wipes out the bacteria that are important to our gut health. Because of peppermint's anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, it can decrease the symptoms caused by hangovers in our intestines by disrupting the growth of harmful bacteria and viruses in your body. Peppermint breaks into oils in our bodies, such as menthol, that help relaxes our digestive tract.

Ginger: this well-known anti-inflammatory root has been used for many years as a natural remedy in the treatment of nausea and vomiting. When digested, ginger breaks into gingerols and elevates the pH in the stomach, which brings its acidity back to a normal level. This helps to reduce bloating and inflammation.

DHM (Dihydromyricetin): DHM is a powerful ingredient against alcohol's effects on the body. Alcohol consumption disrupts the reception of abundant fuels important to the learning and memory systems receptors in our brain. DHM comes from a Japanese Pepper vine, which is funnily enough part of the wine family. It has mechanisms capable of numbing, protecting and withdrawing the trappings of alcohol to information receptors in our brains. This way, this component preserves the nervous system from memory loss and slower reflexes and helps with anxiety regulation.

Chaga: a type of mushroom that has anti-inflammatory properties and is rich in antioxidants. It can help reduce inflammation and oxidative stress, which can contribute to the development of hangovers and headaches. It's found growing on birch trees and contains one of the highest amounts of natural oxalate. This compound forms a variety of salts and oxalic acids that will help recover crucial minerals lost through dehydration.

Borage flowers: a Mediterranean herb that contains high levels of nutrients like gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an anti-inflammatory omega-6 fatty acid. GLA has been shown to reduce inflammation and help protect our bodies from fatty liver syndrome derived from alcohol.

Vitamin B12: alcohol consumption can deplete the body of important vitamins and minerals, including vitamin B12. This vitamin is essential for proper brain function and can help reduce fatigue and brain fog associated with hangovers. It is also used in the formation of red blood cells and DNA synthesis.

Optional magic truffles (comes separately) - a microdose of fresh magic truffles, or Psilocybe Mexicana, vacuum-sealed. Crush it finely and insert bits into the tea bag when ready for consumption. Follow microdosing recommended schedule with 2 day breaks between consumption. Read more about this mushroom here.

    1 tea bag = 3-4 cups/refills.

  • WHY DOES THE TRUFFLE COME SEPARATE?

    For a few reasons:

    - That's the only way it's legal to sell

    - The truffle stays fresh until the moment you use it

    - If the truffle does expire, then the tea is still good to use

    - You have more control over the dosage

  • HOW TO PREPARE

    1. Prepare your tea bag

Prepare your Happy Tea bag by adding your desired dose (optional). Make sure it’s crushed finely before adding. Close the tea bag tightly (or tie a knot).

    2. Add to pot and steep

Place in a pot large enough for water between 500mL and 1.5 liters. Add 80-100 degree water and steep between 5-10 minutes. If adding cold water, steep for at least an hour.

    3. Refill or save

Pour into cups/cup and enjoy! We recommend at least 2 cups per person. Add more water for another extraction or save leftover water in the fridge for 2-3 days.
