Drink it hot or cold, by yourself or sharing with other people, with or without magic truffles, we want to help you have the best Happy Tea experience.
What you’ll need:
🍄 Your magic truffle dose (if you want to get a buzz)
🍃 Your Happy Tea bag(s)
💧 Hot water
🍵 A large teapot (or pot) and enough cups
🕺 Your best friends (if you're sharing)
Please note: we do not sell tea bags with truffles inside. You receive a TEA bag and a truffle bag SEPARATELY. You can follow these instructions even if you choose to not add magic truffles.
Now get ready to prepare your drink!
Step 1: Heat your water
For best results, use water between 80–85 °C, and 1L to 1,5L of water. This range ensures optimal extraction of the truffle and preserves the flavours of the tea you have selected. If you don’t have a thermometer, boil your water and add a splash of cold water to bring it down to the right range. You’ll know it’s ready when you can touch the teapot for about 5 seconds before it feels too hot.
Step 2: Prepare your truffle tea bag When using for single person
Grab your chosen magic truffle dose (1–4g+). The ideal amount varies per person, but 1–3 g is a balanced range to start. Crush the truffle into small pieces using a fork or pestle and mortar, then scoop it into the tea bag. Once filled, place the tea bag into your cup or teapot—ready for brewing. You can find helpful guidance on finding your happy dose.
When using for multiple people
First, you'll need a different truffle dose. In this sense, you can either put a higher dose in the teapot to share, or each individual can put their truffle dose in their own cup. Consider the ratio 1-3g per person mentioned above if you choose to add the truffle to each cup. Use only up to 4g of truffle if you're gonna add it to the teapot to share.
If you're enjoying your tea with more than 4 people, follow our guidance on how to throw a party with Happy Tea. Step 3 : Brewing you Happy tea Once you have your dose, crush the truffle into bits with a fork or a pestle and mortar until it's flat, then scoop it into the Happy Tea bag. Put your tea bag inside of a cup or teapot, and pour the water. Let your tea brew for at least 5 minutes, then you can drink it. You can also keep the tea bag inside the pot the whole time. We recommend you should drink at least 2 cups of tea (500ml) to start feeling the tea and truffle effect. If you run out of water, you can always reuse the same tea bag by pouring more hot water and keep extracting both flavour and truffle. If you brew excess that you dont drink, you cn keep it in the fridge and use up in the next 3 days. Step 4 : Enjoy and lean into Happy
Now, let's move on to another way to enjoy your happy tea: cold brew. As the sun shines outside, you might crave a refreshing cold drink instead. The good news is that you can enjoy Happy Tea as a cold drink too. However, it's important to understand how to properly prepare and get the most out of it, since you don't want to just refresh yourself, but also get the beneficial effects of the truffle tea.
COLD Happy Tea 🧊
The preparation of cold tea is similar to hot tea. Yes, you still need to brew your tea with hot water. That's why it's important to prepare your drinks upfront in case you want to have a refreshing summer drink. Here's how you'll prepare it:
Boil the amount of water that you want to consume to the range of 80-85 degrees. Pour it into your teapot, with the desired truffle dose and your tea bag and leave it to brew for 20-30 minutes. Place it in the fridge to cool down. You can also use ice to cool the tea down, but it will melt and dilute the tea, so take that into account when measuring the water quantity.
Longer to make but less hassle, you may also brew the tea with cold water. Add room temperature water to the tea bag and let it rest overnight, or for 8 hours. This is due to the fact that cold water extracts all the tea goodness way slower than hot water. Once you've done that, add more water, or get creative, and enjoy your cold brew.
Now that you know how to prepare Happy Tea, get ready to sip and enjoy the experience in whichever way suits your mood. Cheers to a fantastic tea experience!
